Villa La Monda

A treasure trove of prestige and timeless beauty

Built in 1600 by the Earls Colombani, an aristocratic family whose historical memory it still bears witness to and preserves, Villa La Monda is surrounded by extensive meadows and by a forested park. In 1870, following an earthquake, the central tympanum and the belltower of the building collapsed. As a consequence, the whole structure had to be readjusted, still preserving its original features, which have thus remained unaltered to the present day. The whole complex has an authentic and fascinating charm, resulting from the presence of original furniture, of the frescoes painted in the large hall on the upper floor and of the Oratory, dedicated to the Virgin Mary, Saints Joseph and Anthony, which is located close to the stately mansion.
